Tom Patterson

Tom Patterson, Founder, Command Information

Tom Patterson founded Command Information in 2005, raising money from the Carlyle Group and acquiring 3 companies, to form the largest and fastest growing IPv6 solutions company in America, with over $50 million dollars of revenue and over 350 employees. Under Tom’s leadership, Command provides next-generation services and solutions to the Fortune 500 and Federal, State, and local governments. In 2004, Tom founded the IPv6 Business Council as an IETF working group under their v6 task force, and published a critically acclaimed book, Mapping Security, on information security, privacy and governance around the world.
Tom has been the partner in charge of security services for Deloitte in Europe, the Middle East and Africa; the founding managing director of BearingPoint’s global managed services business; and IBM's chief strategist for electronic commerce. He has served as a board member for several public companies, has advised all three branches of the U.S. Government on Internet and security policy, and is a trusted advisor to company executives across the globe.
Tom received his Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland, and is a periodic lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, and the University of Virginia’s Darden School.

David Rubal

David Rubal, US/Canada Federal Partner Systems Engineering Lead, Cisco

Mr. Rubal is Cisco’s US/Canada Federal Partner Systems Engineering Lead. His team is responsible for providing innovative solutions with Federal partners to US Government agencies.
An accomplished executive with more than 27 years in telecommunications, technology standardization and complex enterprise architectures, David’s leadership and vision has guided commercial, enterprise, service providers, and Federal government agencies through the challenges of service oriented, multi-layer IP-centric networking.
A thought leader in partner strategies, David is also a leader in Cisco’s Worldwide IPv6 Task Force where he has specific responsbility for US/Canada Channels. He and this team of business, product and technology leaders are guiding Cisco through the global IPv6 opportunity. In the industry, David is recognized as a global thought leader in IPv6 and next generation Internet and communications strategies. He is an active member of the IPv6 Forum as well as the North American and Mid-Atlantic IPv6 Task Force bodies. As a subject matter expert, David is regularly featured as a speaker and panelist in public IPv6 and next generation Internet conferences.

Sean Siler

Sean Siler, Program Manager for IPv6, Microsoft Corporation

Mr. Sean Siler is the Program Manager responsible helping Microsoft’s customers understand and deploy IPv6. Previously he served as the IPv6 Technical Lead for Microsoft Federal. In both of these roles has been able to actively assist commercial industries, the Department of Defense, and Federal, State and Local Civilian, and many other agencies better understand and begin their migration to IPv6.
He began working with Microsoft in early 2005. He is a member of the IEEE, the Internet Society, and Mensa.

Fred Wettling

Fred Wettling, Bechtel Fellow, Technology Strategy Manager, Bechtel Corporation

Fred Wettling manages technology standards and strategies for Bechtel Corporation, one of the world’s premier engineering, construction, and project management companies. Wettling is one of 20 Bechtel Fellows out of a population of 40,000. He has extensive experience with major technology transitions, and technology operations at 20+ Bechtel projects and offices. He is currently sponsoring the enterprise Identity & Access Management and IPv6 initiatives and is a leader in Bechtel’s transformation to its next generation infrastructure. Wettling is active in the IPv6 community, and under his leadership, Bechtel has become one of the world leaders in real enterprise IPv6 deployment. Fred has been active in the Network Applications Consortium (NAC) since 1997 and recently served as the NAC’s chairman for five years. He is active within and outside of Bechtel promoting standards-based technology interoperability that support global enterprise business needs. Network World selected Fred as of the 50 most powerful people in networking in 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006. He is a senior member of several industry technical advisory boards and also served on the President’s National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee (NSTAC), Next Generation Network Task Force (NGNTF) as a subject matter expert.
