Cisco Live 2008

Anyone else going to Cisco Live this June?

Cisco Live 2008

There are a handful of IPv6 related sessions - from introductory level (literally - “An Introduction to IPv6″) to more advanced topics (like “Advanced IPv6 Security: Secure Neighbor Discovery”) through more certification oriented sessions that include IPv6 content (such as “CCIE Routing and Switching”). And, of course, lots of non-IPv6 oriented content as well …

Anyway, if you are going - look for me there :). Oh, and join the IPv6 “interest group” I created.
If not, go sign up!

In other news - some press on the impending June 30th deadline

In the mean time, bye!

Just a quick update - I finished my check-in (got my backpack), attended the Orientation and the openeing reception is going on now.

Lots of vendors, technology and food. Oh, and people. It is hot in there! I am sitting in the halfway now drinking an excellent amaretto coffee … life doesn’t get any better than this :)

    Cisco Live is over!

Overall, fantastic week … heard some griping about the food and the “traffic flow” (managing 11k people migrating about is no small feat!), but I give the conference overall atleast a B+ and the (IPv6) sessions a solid A.

Non-technical, but noteworthy anyway - Bare Naked Ladies (the band), Blue Man Group, Ben Stein … amazing!

Back to technical stuff - there was a significant # of IPv6-related sessions, so naturally that is where the majority of my time was spent. Got to meet some of the familiar names from Cisco - Shannon, Chip, Patrick, Gert, Dave(*2), Eric (*2), … and the sessions themselves were great as well! (Even some of the non-IPv6 sessions were pretty good!)
